Impact of strategies on morphophysiology during the academic year 2014-2015: Faculty of Medical Sciences "General Calixto García".

Abstract

In the program formation’s Cuban of the general doctor, teaching of basic sciences is executed through the discipline Morphophisiology, wich is characterized by the integration of systems of knowledge and abilities of the biomedical sciences. Objective:To analyze the educational results, in the subject Morphophisiology in the first year, during the academic course 2014-2015, after the implementation of new strategies. Method: A descriptive investigation of the results obtained in the ordinary and extraordinary Test of Morphophysiology I, II and III during the academic year 2014-2015 in the “General CalixtoGarcía” University Hospital was carried out, the learning needs were identified in the first year students who studied, the learning necessities were identified in the students who studied these subjects. Results: The promotion in the practical exam of the subjects of Morfofisiología I, II and III were 82%, 53.9% and 65.1% respectively. In the theoretical exam they presented a promotion of 66.4%, 53.6% and 67.6% respectively. Conclusions: The implemented strategies were not effective because it worsened the promotion according to the complexity of the subjects and new learning necessities were identified in the first year students.
