Colorectal Cancer Screening on patients with positive SUMASOHF

Abstract

World consent exists in the use of the determination of hidden blood in fecal grounds for the investigation of colon cancer. The Center of Inmunoensayo contributes from March of 2013 the SUMASOHF, a quick immunologic test for the I diagnose precocious and pursuit of gastrointestinal disorders that cause bled with high grade of sensibility. The objective of the work is to identify the presence of colorectal cancer. They were studied in consultation of Gastroenterology of the University Hospital General Calixto Garcia protocolized in the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer 342 remitted patients of the primary attention of health with positive SUMASOHF in the understood period of January of the 2016 until December of the 2016 to which were carried out studies hematology, abdominal sonogram, panendoscopy and colonoscopy. It was identified in 10.23% of the cases premalignant lesions in colon and in 10.52% colorectal cancer. Most of the diagnosed wicked tumors of colon corresponded to the histological type adenocarcinoma. You concludes that the SUMASOHF doesn't substitute other diagnostic procedures as the colonoscopy or the studies of RX in the investigation of colorectal cancer and that the positive result of SUMASOHF should not be used as diagnostic conclusive for gastrointestinal, alone hemorrhages it should be used for preliminary investigations or like help for the diagnosis.
