Introduction: High blood pressure is a continuing disease and potentially tax for the complications in your evolution like the urgency and the hypertensive emergency. It isfrequent in the emergency serviceses associate cerebrovascular and cardiovascular processes. Your epidemiologic analysis has allowed knowing biological variables that can influence the appearing of the hypertensive urgency. Objectives: Identifying which are the risk factors that influence the appearing of the hypertensive urgency in the hypertensive patient and the relation that can exist between the same? Method: Observational accomplished a study itself, analytical of case and control in patients with diagnosed high blood pressure, belonging to the poly-clinician Marcio Manduley, Municipio Centro Havana, in the period that understands of the 1ro from September 2014 to September 30, 2015. The sample was selected at random and it got shaped by 400 patients, of them 200 like cases and 200 like controls. Results: Analyzed variables: Age, sex, toxic habits and correlated comorbidity. The force of the association with the odds tried on ratio and regression analysis logistic. In the uni-varied analysis, it was observed that the ingestion of salt, fat and alcoholic beverages in the diet, the abandon of the treatment, the obesity and the smoking habit related with the risk of presenting hypertensive urgency. The multivariate analysis showed that the factor with most important independence was the consumption of salt that bolsters up the risk 156 times, the ingestion of alcoholic beverages with an odds of (6.8), CI 2 - 5.8 23.5 the ingestion of tallow with an odds ratio of (5), IC1,2-16,3 and the hypercholesterolemia with an odds ratio of (2.59) CI 1.1 -.5,8. Conclusion: It comes to an end that salt, alcoholic beverages, the tallow in the diet and the increase of the level of cholesterol in blood, they are the factors that with more exactness produce the risk of appearing of the hypertensive urgency in the hypertensive patients of the studied area.
