Abstract

Introduction: To talk to professional competitive is not a new term in the space of the psychology of work. The value of human factor begins to get stung in the job contents of work starting since 1960. We describe the nursing professional competitions like: ''the capability of the professional in the utilization of knowledge and resources to provide health and satisfy the people including technical capability and personnel relation’’. Objective: Expose the development of professional´s competitions in the Cuban Intensive Nursing. Methodology: This study consist an exhaustive bibliographic revision of the last 10 years around the professional´s competitions of the Intensive Nursing in the world and particularly in Cuba. The Cuban Organism of Health and the Medical Science’s University of Havana made a program to teach specialists of 1st grade in Intensive Nursing and Emergency. When they graduates with this scientific category, they are a competent professionals to execute assistant, educational, directing and investigation functions, in order to solve problems that they put in risk life. Conclusions: Prepare the human resource in Intensive Nursing with a high scientific and professional level to render their services in the units of attention to the grave patient. Raised their professional performance, upgrading interventions toasted, they improves this noble profession's image and we obtain better aftermath upgrading life in the sick critics.
